Since there're English-speaking people here why not have some practice? http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/yahoo.gif

I've almost forgotten the language. Working with little children doesn't improve language skills. ((

Ok let's get started. Do you have a habit that drives your spouse mad? (My use of "spouse" is mere political correctness in case there are dads here some day :) )

As 4 me my husband hates me to be standing not sitting while having a cuppa in the kitchen... but it's just because this way I can control the situation and quickly react to my kids' behaviour...

my husband is special... he's always smiles & never get mad. Usually his smiles drive ME crazy.
& i see, that my child is like her daddy- she's smiles but I'm mad about her behavior.

And by the way, Merry Christmas!   Even if you celebrate Xmas in January, I still send you my greetings 'cos "language is a part of culture".

My husband is really special. He's orthodox but celebrate X-mas today. He's from Vitebsk & there are many catholic people. I don't know why, but they prefere to celebrate X-mas on December 25.  :dontknow:
So I cook 2 X-mas dinners: on December, 25 for my husband & on January,7 for me.  http://i.smiles2k.net/plakat_smiles/ahuet.gif

Right. celebrating it twice is fun :yep: , but if you also add up New Year holiday and our 'Old New Year', that's too much cooking/eating/drinking http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/mosking.gif

I feel the same. I've found a good opportunity to practice my English with native speakers. Some american internet stores are having "life chart". So, it's such a fun to talk to people from customer service   I'm asking about different stuff, about crazy things - and they are still SO NICE!!!!! Sometimes I'm pretending to be crazy customer and they are so patient answering my questions :))) Try!!!!!

I 've been working at the store at the USA, and been smiling to the customers all day long... I just got used to it...
If the manager finds you been rude to customer you'll be fired at the moment...
Sometimes, you're looking at the customer - and thinking - "you are such an idiot! and smiling just because of that :)"

the differenсe is that they smile because they have to, but our shop assistants smile when they want to, doing it in most cases sincerely

what books, magazines, newspapers, web-pages do you read for pleasure and for educational purposes? (the answer presupposes those you read in English)
